There are multiple ways to create new accounting vendors with Float.
Reminder: Float's two-way accounting integrations ensure that any vendors you create with Float are automatically pulled into your accounting software.
Here's how you can create new vendors in Float (which will auto-sync with Xero, QBO & Netsuite if you have these integrations enabled)
Create Vendors On The Setting Page
While logged in as an admin, navigate to 'Settings' in the lefthand sidebar fo your Float account. Select 'Vendors', and then '+ Add Vendor'. Type in the Vendor 'Name', and click 'Save'.
Create Vendor During Card Creation
While logged in as an admin and creating a new card, scroll down to 'Accounting Settings' and click the dropdown below 'Vendor'. You can select an existing vendor, or to create a new-one simply start typing a new vendor. While you type, an option '+ Add vendor:...' will show up. Click this to add your new vendor.
Create Vendors In The Transactions Sidebar
While logged in as an admin, navigate to 'Transactions' in the left sidebar. Then select a transaction by clicking on it. A right sidebar should appear to edit the transaction. Select 'Vendor', begin typing a new vendor name, and then click '+Add Vendor'.
