Active Cards
If the card is still active when a refund is process, it will showcase on the transactions and within the individual card as a refund highlighted in green. The money will go back to the business balance on the account, and the limit on the card will be reflected by removing the amount spent based on what was the refund was.
What happens if the refund comes back after the card refreshes?
If the card has refreshed, for example you pay $50 in May and the refund is in June, and your card is on a monthly refresh. Then you will find that the refund will show on the new month, and it will remove the amount from the "current spent" that month.
If you add up the transactions for that month, you will note it will be less than what it adds up to, due to the refund.
Expired Cards:
If a card that is expired has a refund processed on it, this will still go through! The refund will directly go back onto the business balance.
How this would look in Float:
- Under transactions, you will see a refund on the same card, attached to the same spender
- Under business balance, you will see an increase
This will not impact anything about the spender's spending limit, as the card is already expired.
