Setting up Xero for USD Card
To connect your USD card transactions to Xero, please follow the below instructions!
Note: The Xero integration will not work if your Xero subscription plan does not support invoices.
1. Create a USD clearing account in Xero
Navigate to Accounting > Bank Accounts
Press "Add Bank Account" to create a new bank account in your chart of accounts
In the search bar enter “Float” and once you see the result “0 results in Canada”, select the option “manually add your account details”
Here is how you can configure the account:
Bank: Float (anything that is convenient for you to remember)
Account Name: Float USD Clearing Account (anything that is convenient for you to remember)
Account Type: Other
Currency: USD - United States Dollar
Account Number: 0000 (anything that is convenient for you to remember)
Hit "Save and Close" to save
2. Set your USD account in Float
Head into the Settings > Manage Accounting Integration > Select "Xero" option
Enter your Xero credentials and select the newly created USD account
Make sure to hit the “Sync” button if you just created your USD clearing account in Xero
Select the USD clearing account you just created in Xero in the Float Accounting Connection dropdown as you see below.
